Taiwan 28Dec13 to 02Jan14 – Day 4-Danshui-WuFenPu-Shida

For the past few days, we woke up really early. On day 4, we slacked and left hotel at only 11am. We took a train to Tamsui / Danshui. This day we don’t want to rush. We took a leisure walk down the street of Danshui.

They have accessories shop, and the famous yellow duck soft toy.

What a tall soft-serve! For your information that one was the small one Kare Kevil had ordered. The big one will be much taller. Worth a try.

Iron eggs are also famous at Danshui. Do keep a lookout for Ah Po Tie Dan. It is more expensive compare to other brands and it only has the original taste. Kare Kevil said that is nice.

Nice seaview.

Some of the foods along the street.

Hello Kitty Fans, please drop by this shop, their pastries are hello Kitty theme!

Seeing people walking their dogs are common sights in Taipei. Someone walking a pig was a rare sight. What a unique pet to have.

Next we visited the unique / weird museum, TWD 75 person. The museum was just a normal shop size, but inside they have things worth taking a look, if you are those who are curious about animal have 2 heads, 4 hands, 2 mouths etc.

Go back hotel to put down our loots. As the temperature dropped to 12C at night and we wanted to have hotpot We wanted to eat a Mala hotpot at XiMenDing but it was fully booked! We made our way to WuFenPu and Shida, for shopping as did not manage to cover the area the previous days.

The road opposite Shida has some eateries / café.  initially. We saw there was a shabu shabu shop. Yeah!

I ordered the seafood platter TWD350 and Kare Kevil ordered the fish platterTWD390. Not that confirm about the price, should be around there. We were surprised by the presentation and quantities. Look like a huge portion. They give lots of vegetables. The fishes pieces were chunky. Free flow of rice/noodle/udon and ice cream!

We were very satisfied with our meal. We finished our meal at 10pm. Ops some of the shop at Shida already closed and other preparing to close. We quickly zoom to those shops that are still opened. Yeah, we managed to grab some clothing. Very Tired. It is about 11pm. We going back hotel instead of going to countdown to 2014. Watched TV for the countdown as we don’t like crowded places.

Look at the crowd at XiMenDing. See beyond the taxi and you can see many heads.

Happy New Year!
